Leap up and down wave your knickers in the air !

Ten days to go until the most important day  of the year.

Ten days until Wednesday 14th February 2018.

Cupid is sharpening his arrows and putting new strings on to his bow.

Given that this is Radio Love - Radio Love International we thought we would just make certain everyone has the date firmly written into their diaries.

Such a lot is happening, everything is exciting with a fantastic future ahead for Radio Love International.

Jo, Josh and David are all juggling lots of things as we move everything onwards and upwards. We would like to share what we are doing and to seek your support.

Tomorrow I have an important meeting at Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham. This will take OurRebekah and its support for Ronald McDonald Houses to a new and higher level.

Wednesday Josh and I have a meeting with a new team member Rachel to plan the music at a school reunion.

I am working with our technical advisor to write the pages we need to begin live broadcasting once we have our licence and somewhere to broadcast from.

It's 3.24am and I have just checked my phone for messages. There's one from Josh: David mate, just wondering can you tell me what's your favourite bands from the 70's and 80's and why. But I want the ones that are uplifting and dancy  types that people would love and want to dance to when they hear the music.

OK Josh let me play some.  1980's - I like Black Lace because their music is bouncy, silly and fun. It is impossible to listen to them without wanting to get up and bop. I have been adding some Black Lace to our ON DEMAND area so let me play some here.

David set me up here on Radio Love International as The Eternal Teenager. He says I look like Marty Wilde from the 1960's.

What do you think ?

Perhaps I need to grow my hair a little bit. Yeh but not as long as David's ! The Geriatric HIPPIE.

I want two things to happen and to happen as quickly as possible.

Firstly I want to build up a team of people who will listen to this page each day then e-mail me to say what they think about the content we play.  My e-mail address is: jdlmzzzz91@gmail.com - PLEASE drop me a line. PLEASE.

Josh and The Eternal Teenager have two in this team of moderators at the moment.

Rachel, pictured top right with The Geriatric DJ and bottom left Dianne, again pictured with The Geriatric DJ but in his David costume.

I am thinking I need four, five or even six to build up this team of moderators. Rachel and Dianne, I will be in contact next week.

Now this is so important. I want to  get our roadshows working ashttp://www.ourrebekah.com/RL/listenondemand.htm quickly as possible. David's folder of playlist music is chaos - you should see it ! I am really busy trying to sort it out.  But it is no good having lots of music in files, chaotic or not, on a laptop. We need to play these songs and make people happy.

On Tuesday David and I are meeting staff at the winter night shelter and hope they will let us take music in there like before Friday.

David is heading to Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham tomorrow, I have my fingers crossed he will come back with a date for a music party.

Wednesday I have the meeting with Rachel regarding the Leonite School Reunion.

Jo has been trying to meet the community champion at Asda. Jo, perhaps the three of us should hit her together.

I want so much to get the roadshows happening straight away.  In my brainstorming notepad I have a very big list but it's no good having a list, we need to make the list happen.

David, I have just found your 1970's collection in the ON DEMAND AREA.

Thanks Andy.

You go for it Josh.

What we need right now is to bring in another manager to the team.  We need someone who can bring in the finance, the money, the cash, the filthy lucre. We can not keep taking the money we need from David's pocket.

We need a dedicated advertising manager who IMMEDIATELY could bring in sponsors to cover our licence and help us find a space to use as a base and studio.

Then when we start broadcasting live to
sell advertising.

We need enthusiasm, we need commitment and dedication. We need someone who has the fire David, Josh and I have for Radio Love International.

Don't just sit there thinking That's a good idea. If you could be the person we need get off your backside and contact me.

Radio Love International could become the biggest radio station in the world but nothing is going to happen until we start bringing in the money we need to get it there.

Here's a song from that chaotic playlist Josh is trying to sort out.

We need someone for this job who will leap up and down waving their knickers in the air. Oh you'll get no political correctness from me !

That is the worst audience figure we have so far had.

Saturdays are usually the low point for listeners in the week but that was ridiculous.  Let's do something about today !

Josh talks about DANCY music.  Josh, why didn't you ask me for a 1960's list.  I suppose at your tender age that is a bit of ancient history.

Form the 1960's I like Lulu, she always sings Dancy songs.

And this................

I am also a great fan of Manfred Man......................

And.........................

And........................

And..........................

Is that DANCY enough for you Josh ?

Something I am planning, Josh and I did chat about it yesterday and this week I want to start making it happen. I want a roadshow outside the club shop at Hillsborough supporting the Sheffield Wednesday community programme. After yesterday's result the players need a bit of lively music.

To lose at home to Birmingham City AND have two red cards !  If you ask me some backsides need kicking.

Don't know about Jo but Josh is not into football. He will be once I have taken him to Hillsborough to plan a mega roadshow.  He smiled and said to me yesterday he would like to see the Wednesday Wave.

Well here it is.....................

Trust me it WILL happen.

Josh here's another song from the 1980's.  I'll let you into a secret.  I had this on the CD in the car yesterday. I wish I had my camera with me to have filmed Josh doing the actions.  OH YES HE DID !

Just imagine Radio Love International playing that and making a 25,648 crowd do the actions.

We are sitting on a case of high explosive potential, we just have to detonate it all. So here's Sunday's Thought4 Today.

A Leonite, Chris, posted this on Facebook yesterday.  Chris has a great sense of humour, his posts always make me giggle.

Chris I am wondering what I could play here for you.  How about I turn round your humour and play this for you.

How can you possibly follow that ?  Only one way and that is to sign off with Radio Love Internaternational's theme song.

Josh is recruiting members for our team

Today's blog and music page is all about YOU - our audience. The three of us currently running Radio Love International will be taking turns to speak to you but we'll allow AGE to come before BEAUTY, respect the elderly and let David begin..............

Thank you for that. OK then this is David now writing, David aka The Geriatric DJ.

Can I begin by saying something specifically to Beck's friends. I have a big meeting with Ronald McDonald on Monday. At the moment the OurRebekah website has been taken down. Following the meeting it will be
back in a new and exciting format. Radio Love International was set up to play music at OurRebekah events but Beck's smile - that naughty, cheeky smile is now infecting a much wider audience.

That audience yesterday had 254 listeners. I hope you enjoyed the music. Do not forget you can hear ALL of the music ON DEMAND - just CLICK and LISTEN

I put this together yesterday for our lovely listeners. It is for you all but I would also like to dedicate it to Lina. I knew Lina was bi-lingual, yesterday I found she is fluent in FOUR languages.  Lina and all of our listeners I hope you find this a bit of fun.

Thanks David. It's now Josh speaking, David will be back in a moment - well you know he talks a lot LOL.

So then................

David read a poem to me yesterday.  I am going to share it with you shortly but first can I give you my contact details. You can e-mail me direct by waving your MOUSE RIGHT HERE.

David said this is called Desiderata. Lina may speak four languages but she does not speak Latin. David said it means desired things.

As well as putting the poem here and inviting all of our listeners to take note of the words can I offer it to everyone at the old bus station. You know who you are, these words are for you.

It's a bit of fun being a time lord you know. I have been cruising the decades trying to find a song about poetry and found this.

I think I will be adding that to my 1950's playlist.

Right then.  My job here at Radio Love International is TEAM LEADER. Thing is as of this moment I don't have a team to lead - he, he. Let's put that right shall we.  I need a small group of our listeners, say between 4 and 6, to fire e-mails to me giving your honest opinion about the music we play. Is it good or is it something to put out for the bin men ?  Would you
be a part of my team ?  David has given me three names - Alma, Rachel - we are meeting up on Wednesday next week I believe and Dianne - we have already met, thank you for the vinyl you gave to David and thank you for the phone you gave to me, as you can see I am making good use of it.

Who else ?

If you would like to be a part of my team could you send me an e-mail please. Would you also be so kind as to tell David on Facebook so he can add you to the Team Page on the website.

Back now to David. Let him have his say then over to Jo.

Thanks.........

I have indeed set up a new Team Page on the website please have a look. CLICK HERE

I have also written a bit of silly fun as a Radio Love International survey. CLICK HERE, be silly and fill out the survey.  Go on I dare you !

Usually I start the daily page off with a motivational theme and Thought4Today.  I haven't forgotten. Here is Saturday's theme to make your day go well.

You can find all of Radio Love International's motivational music in the ON DEMAND AREA OF OUR WEBSITE.

Listener Paul Foster popped this on Facebook yesterday. I have picked it up to use for
Thought4Today.

Paul I find your Facebook posts a lot of fun. That you posted yesterday is sadly so true.

You will take our SURVEY won't you Paul.

It was great to bump into you in Tesco's a few weeks back. How did the curry work out.  I never did find asparagus soup on the shelves you know.

There is a Leonite reunion coming up in May, details will be sent out soon.

Paul it was back in May last year that I popped this on to YouTube for you.  I had that LP when I was in my twenties. It is best listened to through headphones, the stereo goes right through your head. Anyway Paul here it is again for you.

Speaking about Facebook. This was popped on to my timeline yesterday.

Please go along to the TWICE BOUTIQUE in Bletchley, opposite the bandstand in Queensway, and name the unicorn. I have my pound ready - see you soon.

Twice Boutique this is for you.

Thank you David, at last I get to speak !  Josh you are the team leader, can't you shut him up !

I want to share a few things if I may.

Please CLICK HERE and visit our shopping mall. When we have our broadcasting licence and start playing music live into the Internet we will be able to sell advertising and have an income to pay for all we are doing. Until then please visit the mall, click on any banners for on-line shopping that interest you. We receive a small income

David and I had a meeting at The National Trust last week, David and Josh went to meet with Manager Ro at Wrigglies
Exotic Pets, David is going to Ronald McDonald House on Monday, I am going to Asda. We are all busy setting up dates in our ROADSHOW DIARY.  Do you have an event we could play music at ? Please contact me.

You know how David likes to wind people up with the music he plays - of course you do, he has wound me up enough times. Now I am going to turn the tables and wind him up a bit.

Make sure you listen to this.

If you were to add Josh's age and my age together you still would not reach the advanced age of David. No David we do love you really.

That's cool Jo.

David calls you The lady with the big smile and even bigger heart.  It's true.

I have come back as there is something else I want to put out and ask help with.

We do not have any country music in our playlists. If you are a fan of country music could you drop me an e-mail with five or six songs we could put out for friends to listen to.

At least if you do that it will stop David keep playing infernal song !

Over to Andy for today's report.

I hope you have enjoyed the music today. Here's a big hug to you all from The Eternal Teenager, Jo and David.

Pin your love here and you WILL make a difference

Thank you to the THIRTY ONE people who LIKED or posted comments on my Facebook Page yesterday evening. This is David The Geriatric DJ writing today's edition.

Those thirty-one beautiful messages from special people were so kind. They praised me for something I have done. I appreciate that, THANK YOU, but I would ask you to divert your kindness from praising and thanking me for doing what anyone should have done to become LOVE and direct this to Joshua and Gjlina Morgan.

You know who they are, the homeless couple who have the tent outside Morrissons Supermarket.  Right now they are no longer homeless, I will be busting my rear end to make sure that now becomes a permanent situation.  Will you support me, Josh an Lina with your love ?  PLEASE.

Let's have today's Friday Morning theme. This comes from a series of motivational tunes I popped on YouTube a year ago.  I think it is time for a new set of songs but for now here is Friday.

Josh i s writing his story which eventually he will share with people to help generate support for the homeless. I have not yet read what he has written but let me share the story I know and have come to understand.

I do have pictures of Josh and Lina, I have his Facebook page, but they are not ready fo me to share them yet.  Radio Love International pictures you may have seen over the past two weeks have been taken by Josh. By being the photographer he makes certain he does not appear in any image.

There are three of us setting up Radio Love International - myself, Jo who is a barrister and Josh.  We gave Josh the nick-name THE ETERNAL TEENAGER and said he was our time lord moving through the decades playing music. We made his theme tune TEENAGER IN LOVE.

Pictured left is Mary Wilde who had a smash hit with that song was back in March 1959. I was eight years old then, Jo and Josh had not even been born.

Josh's hair is a bit shorter than that shown in Marty's picture but of a similar style. When Josh was thirteen years old he was in a road accident and smashed out his teeth. He has lost his dentures but when he finds them and smiles then grows his hair a bit he will be the spitting image of Marty Wilde above.   Let's play his theme tune.

I am so proud of my LEONITES, my former students from Leon School. When Rebekah died you wonderful people swamped me with love.  Most but not all of those comments last night came from Leonites. Some of you have already stepped forward to help this young couple.

When Leonite James died on the streets of Milton Keynes before Christmas I was gutted.  I had not previously been in the least bit interested in the homeless but at that point I changed my attitude.  I saw this young man sitting outside Morrissons Supermarket and felt sorry for him. I guessed he was about 19, actually Josh is 27.  Feeling sorry does nothing except lift the ego of the person feeling sorry. I went back one morning to see this boy and give him some money.  He was not there.

The next time I saw this young man I gave him some money. Josh spoke about it last night saying: You folded a twenty pound up note very small and pushed it into my hand.  On some future visits to the supermarket I gave him money and always a pack of Mars Bars - when I
was a kid the slogan was A MARS A DAY HELPS YOU WORK, REST AND PLAY.

A Leonite told me about the Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter. I e-mailed the centre, they immediately e-mailed back asking for my phone number. I gave it to them and within minutes we were speaking. I did not know the boy's name but they said to bring him to them and they would help.

I went up to Morrissons to find Josh. He was not there but in his place was a girl. I gave her fine pound and spoke to her. She explained that the lad, Josh, was her partner of five years.

I am going to play some more music. This was in the car's CD player yesterday afternoon. I wish you could have seen Josh singing along to it.

The girl, Lina, did not have confidence to go to the centre and find out what they could offer but the boy, Josh, agreed to come along. When he got into the car I turned to switch the CD off. Don't do that, he said, I love music.

He and Lina were offered overnight accommodation every night until the centre every night until mid-March.  Josh was eager to take up the offer but Lina did not want to go. She could not face lots of people and did not want to be separated from Josh at night. The centre staff respected that and said it was right for Josh not to attend and heave his partner on the street.

I told Josh about my ideas for Radio Love International and asked him if he wanted to be
involved.  HE DID.  The following Saturday Josh and I went along to support a sausage sizzle fund raiser being held by Jo's Hope. Jo's Hope is run by barrister Jo Tomkin.

Jo, seen here with the balloons, is a very special person. I asked her if she would like to be involved.

She did.

So now Radio Love International is being managed by a trio - The Geriatric DJ, The Eternal Teenager and The Lady With The Big Smile And An Even Bigger Heart.

Let's play the Radio Love International theme tune.

And time now for Andy's Weather Report. Andy has agreed to continue his weather reports as we develop Radio Love International.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be homeless and live in a tent in temperatures like that ?

Yesterday morning I e-mailed the winter night shelter and asked what had to be done to get Josh and Lina housing benefit so they could be got out of their tent.  The process has started.  At half past three I received an excited telephone call from the shelter saying due to the cold the council had a place for Josh and Lina. By ten past four Josh and I were at the council offices. By ten to five he had keys in his hands.

Some more music. Let's play Black Lace again.

I received a text message from Josh thanking me. When I got up this morning he had sent me this: I will try to remain positive.............he then went on to give me an e-mail address he had set up.  Lovely Leonite Dianne has given Josh a smart phone so he can work on Radio
Love International.  Josh and I visited Dianne in her daughter's shop TWICE. He took this pic of The Geriatric DJ with Dianne.

There are some lovely people about. Dianne you are wonderful and your daughter's shop is amazing.

5.25am and another LIKE has just come in from yet another lovely person wishing Josh and Lina well.

The council is going to fund the accommodation until Monday.  It is not going to be possible to get the housing benefit set up over the week-end. So this is what is going to happen. I will speak to the night shelter, Josh will speak to the council and I will speak to the Mayor's office. I will fund the accommodation post Monday until housing benefit comes on-line.  I have no idea how much this is but NO WAY are my friends OUR FRIENDS going back to that tent !

More music..................

Josh, Jo and I have been having meeting after meeting after meeting with all kinds of people as we set up Radio Love International as an on-line station.  Yesterday I contacted the licensing office to obtain all we need to be within the law. Yesterday Jo and I attended a meeting with Scott, National Trust's Operations Manager for Stowe. I could see why Jo is a barrister, she handled the discussions so well.

More music..............................

At the end of the meeting I turned to Jo and said Should I tell Scott about Josh ?  YES.

When I said Josh did not want to come to the meeting as he was homeless Scott said he should have come then said DOES HE WANT A JOB ?  A beautiful, genuine offer from a lovely man. Unfortunately getting from Milton Keynes to Stowe every day would not be possible but what a lovely offer from a lovely man.

Let's play something for Scott, this was playing in the cafe at Stowe while we were meeting.

Super song.

OK........................

Thank you all for those wonderful messages last night.  Let's take things forward.  Will you get behind me as I make certain the temporary accommodation for Josh and Lina become long-term and then with housing benefit and employment PERMANENT ?

Giving money or even food to the homeless is nothing more than a sticking plaster. Major surgery has started for Josh and Lina. Will you get behind me as we complete everything and move our patients into recovery ?

Those messages yesterday were praising me. That is kind but I do not deserve such applause.  Give your love, give your applause to this special young couple.  I think that Josh was a bit taken back by me yesterday. I went back twenty years into Head Of Year Mode, forceful and demanding - BANG BANG BANG MAKE IT HAPPEN.

I have told Josh all about my favourite piece of music.

Will you join me in building this bridge for Josh and Lina ?  Josh went to Sir Frank Markham School, come on Leonites let's make him part of our team and let him bring his lovely wife with him.
