I am deliriously happy - are you ?

I am happy.  I am so happy. I am deliriously happy.

Don't know about you but I am going to have a fabulous day.

Our Monday morning theme is TOP OF THE WORLD by The Carpenters.  That my friends is EXACTLY where I am going to be all day long.

Better play the music I guess.

And here's Thought4Today........

How does that work if you are already a lion ?  Or perhaps a tiger ?  Take it away Lulu.

I have that song on vinyl. If it aint vinyl then it aint music !  This collection of music on vinyl is for listener Dianne who gave us so many fantastic records to play and make people feel happy.

The Geriatric DJ and The Eternal Teenager from Radio Love International will be popping by to see Dianne to thank her for all the vinyl records she has given us to play. We will find Dianne as she  mops out a flood in her daughter's shop.

If ever you are in Queensway, Bletchley, pop into a shop called TWICE.  If you are not then please CLICK HERE and visit their website.

I suppose we had better let a sponsor have a word.

Isn't this a beautiful picture ?  Radio Love International listener Rachel surrounded by her grandchildren.  Now I have to be careful how I type this !!!!!  I picked out a song to play - LOVE IS ALL AROUND as Rachel is sitting there with love all around her.  Then I realised it is sung by WET WET WET !   Dianne, I really hope you do not mind me playing this. Hope it will make you smile.

Time now to go back to those sausages sizzling last Saturday. Boy they were great. I spoke
to The Eternal Teenager yesterday, he said he was writing more to the plan for Radio Love International. He will share this with me later today but I would not mind betting sausages appear somewhere in it !

So let's play some more requests from the customers.

Who was it, I wonder, who requested this ?

This is actually the first record my brother purchased.  I love it. Jo, I think that is your handwriting on the request list. When you join Radio Love International as a presenter will Lulu be on your play list >

Jo, did you have lollipops at the sizzle on Saturday. If not then next time OK ?

What to play next ? Still from the sausage play list.........

Ah yes, this is another one I like big time.

Dancing Queen from ABBA.

Here's a picture posted by a listener on Facebook. Thank you Maggie. I guess we had better play it for you. It's a classic.

4.08am and ALREADY Weatherman Andy has posted his report ! And I thought I got up early.

Let's play something for Andy.

This music page is all about LOVE.  Will you please help me ?  Will you send some love to the MOT tester who is checking over my car this morning ?  Let's play this for him.

OH - I should have said this before !  When Andy posts his Weaterline it is local to where Radio Love International is based here in England. We are currently developing our website
ahead of launching a fully-fledged on-line radio station. We are INTERNATIONAL so what is happening in North Buckinghamshire, England, will not be the same weather as where you live.
The Eternal Teenager, our very own time lord, is making an early morning spin round the planet to publish on the weather page of our site precisely what the wind rain and even the sunshine is doing where you live.  CLICK HERE AND CHECK IT OUT  My little dog Jake always checks Andy's weather report before he decides if he wants to go out for a walk or not.
So what to play now ?  Let's play another song from the request list at Jo's Hope's Super Sausage Sizzle.

Chatting to my DJ Colleague yesterday I said to The Eternal Teenager that when Radio Love International becomes the world's biggest radio station I would trade my Jag in for a Bentley. He told me to play this !

Time now for today's evening theme. 4.37am and I just know today is going to be an amazing day. I am deliriously happy looking forward to it.  Two things would make me even more happy:

1. My car passing its MOT
2. Our achieving more than 398 listeners to today's music page.

The Tennessee Waltz - YES Radio Love International does have listeners in Nashville Tennessee !

After all it is a small, small world.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE !

Here we are - SUNDAY......

LET'S HAVE A SPELNDIFEROUS SUNDAY !

THANK YOU to everyone who checked out our music page - we had  236  listeners. FANTASTIC.

The target is to get up to one thousand.

OK, let's start today with today's Sunday theme. I challenge you to listen to this and not have a Splendiferous Sunday.

I know I have been asking for people to send me requests for music to play here on Radio Love International but I did not expect to receive a request from Downing Street.

Thank You Prime Minister. Let me play two  pieces of music just for you.

And Mrs May I hope you find this a bit of fun.

Look at my e-mail inbox. Below Mrs May's e-mail there is one from Jo.

Let's open it shall we ?

Jo from Jo's Hope was referring to this........

The Geriatric DJ and The Eternal Teenager went along to support. Jo's Hope is planning several more Sausage Sizzles. Radio Love International will be at all future events playing
music to lift the fun and the sausages to an even higher level.

Jo is going to join the Radio Love International team. Look out for her playlists then when we go live as an internet station Jo will be broadcasting for THREE hours each week.  Jo is certain to be a mega star.

Customers yesterday at The Sausage Sizzle wrote down requests for music to be played. There's a lot there so listen out for them over the coming week.#

Today let's play this......

That was fun wasn't it. Let's have another request from one of Jo's Hope Sausage Munchers.

I am not sure how far back in history you need to go in order to find that !  I guess we need to send Radio Love Internationals' Time Lord - THE ETERNAL TEENAGER to check it out.

I asked my fellow DJ if he was familiar with this character here on the left. I did not ask him if he knew what one of these is on the right.

I have never ridden one, I don't particularly want to but listener Dianne told me she had ridden pillion on a Harley.

Dianne gave us her late husband's vinyl collection to play here on Radio Love International. As I was sorting through the many, many singles I found BAT OUT OF HELL by MEATLOAF.

Here it is.

Which is  your favourite music decade ? The 1960's

The 1970's ?

Or even the 1950's ?

Google Analytics Tracking clearly shows that Radio Love International's primary audience is among those aged 18 to 35 listening on their phones. And that, I guess leads nicely into our sponsor ROCKJAW AUDIO

Those sausages do look great don't they ?

As you can see those popping by Jo's Hope's sizzle yesterday agree with that statement.

Here's another request from a Sausage Sizzle Muncher. Take it away Freddie........

We have a meeting on Tuesday, Jo, The Geriatric DJ and The Eternal Teenager. Not sausages this time but burgers in McDonald's.  It's almost a year ago since I made the video Jake Goes To McDonald's. This was inspired by a trainee in my local branch of the fast food giant, a young man by the name of Gianis.  Yesterday when I popped in to McDonald's to finish off my sizzling sausage with an apple pie Gianis was there working as DUTY MANAGER.

Gianis this is for you.

Gianis asked after Jake. He gave me his shift pattern for next week so Jake could come by to the drive through.

Now a dedication for Weatherman Andy - singing in the rain by Adam Faith. That is actually taken from the very first LP I ever owned.

There was both singing and plenty of rain at the Sausage Sizzle yesterday.  Jo was singing, I did suggest she should forma band with her as the lead singer and play live here on Radio Love International. I won't tell you where she told me to put that idea.

There was also plenty of rain !  The tent roof leaked but what the heck that kind of added to the fun.

So Adam please sing this song for Weatherman Andy and for any sausages yesterday that got wet.

All this talk of sausages and McDonalds, not to mention Harley Davidsons, I guess we had better gibe another one of our sponsors a plug !

I am proud that my Facebook account is every month in the top ten across the UK when it comes to activity. Are you a friends - BECOME ONE !

Looking through Facebook this morning I found this had been posted.

Radio Love International would like to play this for such a lovely couple.

Love really is all you need.  The mission of Radio Love International is very clear about
that.  This is a beautiful world, full of beautiful people. Through music we will be sharing love, having fun, smiling and making others smile.

At the moment we are playing music on a daily page and on our website.

Our technical guy, seen below here with The Geriatric DJ, is working to set everything up as an international internet radio station. As soon as we can achieve a daily listener audience of one thousand and as soon as the licencing authorities give us the go ahead this will happen. I am looking to June or early July to go live.

Would you like to be a part of this fun and exciting music project ?  Do you believe that love and music can make this a better world ? Could we bring our roadshow to support what you are doing ?

Go to the RADIO LOVE INTERNATIONAL WEBSITE and find out more.

Bringing this music page to an end here is the theme for you to relax to this evening.

Finally Radio Love International's signature tune.

Will you support me ?

HAPPY SATURDAY !

It's the week-end, just in case you have not noticed. Here's The Geriatric DJ with today's music page and news update.

A lot has happened over the past twenty-four hours. There is a lot that could happen. I want to ask for your support to make it happen !

Yesterday's music page was viewed and listened to by  116 people and the graph showing how many people are not checking out our website is moving steadily upwards.  To make happen things that are in the pipeline we need that figure to rise to 1,000. So the help I am asking for is to SPREAD THE WORD.

Here's today's bouncy theme to help you make your day go well.

Our friends at Jo's Hope who worked with me at the Asda Roadshow are holding a Sausage Sizzle outside a local superstore today. Yesterday I bumped into the team's twelve
year old star.

I am going to skip breakfast and pop along for a hot-dog. My fellow DJ, The Eternal Teenager,  and his girlfriend are coming with me to say HI to Jo and her team.

Secretly we are hoping that Jo and her team will make up a music collection to play here on Radio Love International

Here's a dedication for Jo and Jo's Hope.  A perfect song, the work you do which makes people feel on top of the world.

And here is a dedication for one of our international listeners Grace.

Not my kind of music so I had better get The Eternal Teenager to explain it to me.

The tracking tools within our pages and website show that the music we play is predominantly listened to by those in the 18 to 25 bracket. Most people are listening using their phones.

So that leads on to a plug for our sponsor Rock Jaw Audio. Please click the link.

Our technical adviser says he can very easily write the web pages needed for Radio Love International to become a fully fledged internet radio station. We need a few things to be put into place before that can happen.

  • We need to get our daily page viewers up to one thousand.
  • We need to build up our on-demand music content to a minimum of ten hours.
  • We need to find more than just The Geriatric DJ and The Eternal Teenager as presenters. Our technical wizard is building the system so presenters can broadcast from home.

Now here is the biggie - We need the licencing authority to licence us without this costing a vast sum of money.

Now I am going to wind up a very special friend. Rachel this is for you.

Did you like that Grandma ? You know I bet it must be terrific fun having Rachel as your granny. If she is your granny get in touch and I will tell you about her at school. (No - NOT
REALLY)

Rachel is one of my Leonite former students. She is a regular listener here on Radio Love International.

Yesterday she and I met up to discuss an OurRebekah event to support Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham. Yes of course Radio Love International will be playing the music at a Leonite Reunion.

Hey, those who have Rachel as your granny - send me your requests and I will play them for you.

Also part of that meeting yesterday was Dianne, another Leonite and lovely lady.

Dianne's husband, Pete, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last year. Pete was a fantastic lover of music and music played on vinyl.

Yesterday Dianne gave me Pete's 7" single collection to play in Radio Love International roadshows.

Dianne I promise you the records will be loved and played to honour the memory of Pete.

I am building up a playlist of music on vinyl. Over the next few days I will record some of Pete's records, add the to the content we already have then use this to link each song together.

Here's something I already have in the IF IT AINT VINYL IT AINT MUSIC collection.

That was the first time The UK won the Eurovision Song Contest. When I was a teenager I had the hots for Sandi Shaw. I think it was a kinky fetish for the fact that she always sang bare footed. She had lovely feet you know !

I suppose all this teenage stuff and my love of Sandi Shaw's feet means I had better bring you up to date with The Eternal Teenager's 1950's collection. Ten minutes towards the hour long presentation. Nice music.

Do you think this guy went on the diet ?

Roy Wood, of course, comes from my home city. I am heading off to a meeting in Birmingham with Ronald McDonald House Manager Libby. We have a lot to talk about and plans for OurRebekah events. I am hoping to persuade Libby to let Radio Love International hold a music tombola party for the 64 families who stay there while they have a child sick in hospital.

Let's play something for Libby and her team, something else from Brummie Roy Wood.

It's 5am, I think I can  smell  those sausages sizzling.   Are you getting them ready Jo's Hope ?  I like mine well cooked and no onions or sauce please.

Jo and team this is for you.

It's 5.09am. I guess I need to bring this page to an end. Did you like the music played ?  Send me a request. Go to our website www.radioloveinternational.com and click the link.

So will you support me ?   Will you help Radio Love International get to 1,000 listeners a day to this page ?

Our technical genius is working on the coding to allow us to become a fully operating on-line radio station. PLEASE those at PRS/PPL licencing be kind to us as you calculate how much
the fee will be.

The Eternal Teenager and The Geriatric DJ are going to find it a bit tough if we have to present 24 hours of music 7 days a week. Would you like to join the team ?  You will be able to log into the broadcast system and play music live from the comfort of your own home.

After I have eaten that delicious hotdog from Jo's Hope's sausage sizzle I am planning to call into McDonalds and munch on one of their delicious apple pies. Then it's back home to a growing list of DIY jobs my dear wife is drawing up for me. When it comes to the evening I think I will be needing this beautiful music to end my day.

And now to end this music page here's the Radio Love International signature tune.
