SMILE
Hey - yesterday only 11 people read my blog. Where have you all gone to ?
They tell me that the Dark Side Of The Moon is quite nice this time of the year. Is that where you have all legged it off to ?
Or have I just developed a bad case of cyber BO ?
Well let's see what today brings.
I am a lucky guy you know. I have four fantastic grandchildren. Adam, who will be seven years old in May is the oldest.
Yesterday Adam was in the car with me. I had burned my YouTube silly music on to a CD and was playing it. I always have the volume turned up loud, it's the only way to listen to music.
Look at Adam you wouldn't think butter could melt in his mouth would you.
WARNING - do not be deceived. His personality fires out of him like a machine gun. He can cut me down to size with his wit.
When the CD came to play this song I could hear Adam in the back of the car singing along, he knew all the words.
Looks like his musical tastes may be similar to his silly old granddad.
Adam likes to think he is a bit of a photographer.
Yesterday he took this picture of his silly old granddad and posted it on my facebook page.

Adam came with me yesterday to visit my daughter, his auntie, who is very poorly in The Churchill Hospital, Oxford. She will be OK but times for my family is not easy right now. I am typing this blog at 4.30am, in another hour I will be setting off again to Oxford to spend the day with her.
As I drive the 40 or so miles to Oxford I will have that same silly CD playing in the car. Does that sound daft ? The thing is by the time I get to the ward my mood will be so uplifted and silly I will be able to cope with the hospital and lift my daughter's spirit. Which brings me to my Though4Today.
That is so true isn't it ?
Talking of smiles, do you like my smile in Adam's picture ? I have had some major dental work done so struck the pose to emphasize it.

Good morning everyone. Is the sun shining where you are.
It's still dark here. The clocks went forward last night to British Summer Time and someone forgot to tell the sun.

Who Killed Bambi ?

I am busy working on the next page for my diary which should be on-line tomorrow.
As I write this page I am listening to my SILLY MUSIC collection on YouTube. If there any typos that's because I am tapping my feet like crazy and the laptop is bouncing up and down in time to the music.
This morning I have added three more tunes to the collection.
So who did kill Bambi ?
My granddad took me to see that Walt Disney film when I was a kid. I think if I took my grandson to see the film today he would kill me !

Adam, I promise I will write the glasses into the story this week-end.These silly music tunes I am playing on YouTube are dedicated to my former students who have started to be my friends on facebook Do you remember Leon Disco and how you used to groan when I pushed the student DJ off the deck, taking over and playing music like this ?
I am busy working on my teenage memories which, when finished, I will share with those who also worked at Lewis's Department Store in Birmingham.
Don't know about you but I am planning a fantastic week-end. Today my granddaughter, Katherine - she likes to be called Kate but I always call her Katherine, is coming to see me. When she finds Adam and I are writing a song together she will not be a happy young lady. She will flash her beautiful eyes at me, smile and say "What about me Granddad ?"

Yesterday 19 people read my blog. Hey THANK YOU but were were the rest of you ?
There I was yesterday bombing along the A421 from Milton Keynes towards Buckingham when I felt the car start to pull to the left. Then there was a rumbling sound. I pulled over to find the front tyre in shreds, smoking and the alloy totally destroyed.
I won't type here the word I said - Blogger may well ban this entry. You can probably guess what it was. Here's a clue - It started with an S and ended with T. When I have finished writing this blog I am going to my TrustPilot profile where I will be praising The RAC and

I've cracked that silly facebook thing of yours ! I am afraid that after all the years I have said what a load of old rubbish it is I am making it work !
A big HI to those who have become my friends on this social media platform thingy. There are 12 of you. 17.1k followers on Twitter but I guess facebook will soon catch me up.
Some of these friends come from my youth when I worked as a management trainee in Lewis's Limited, Birmingham. I have brainstormed a load of memories from those two wonderful years when I was a teenager.
I have, of course, already written my childhood autobiography in THINGS WERE DIFFERENT IN MY DAY and - blush, blush - embarrassed or what, people are reading it !To those who have started following me on facebook and were my students when I was head of year at Leon you may like to take a look and see what a bad boy Sir was !
Do you remember The Leon Disco, I don't think we ran it when my final year group was there, but before then we had regular discos and even those 24 Disco Marathons, anyone remember them ?
I know you used to groan when Sir kicked the lads running the music off the twin deck and took over. I always sped the music up didn't I ? I used to embarrass you guys and girls playing silly records like these.
I have created a new collection within my YouTube Channel and will be playing a lot more over the next few days. I have 140 pieces of music on-line and yesterday hit 1,000 visitors. Not exactly viral is it ? Just as when we had that school disco looks like people do not approve of my of my musical tastes.
You know what I say though !

Back to those teenage years at Lewis's in Birmingham. Tony who was in my group of friends back then hasn't found me on facebook yet.
Tony, if you do find me after all those decades can I tell you just how envious we all were of you. Everyone in our group of mates would have take a pay cut and left their departments, I worked in Soft Furnishings on the third floor, to come and work with you.
Tony was supervisor in the record department. Lewis's record department in the magical decade.
Oh I have got to play another silly song. Let me break off writing for a moment and see what I can find.

Yesterday was a dark day for my country.
I do not need to tell my readers all that happened, sadly you know about the attack.

I had been planning to launch a bit of fun with the first of a new series on my YouTube Channel. Last night I decided it was probably not right to go ahead, the mood of the country would not be right and it could even be thought of as disrespectful. However, this morning I have decided that I will publish and this is now on YouTube.
Not to have published would have been to give in to the evil that hit London yesterday, Probably what the perpetrators wanted. Brits have a reputation for having a stiff upper lip. My lip is stiff this morning and my mind is thinking of those who have suffered. But we can not allow those who would attack us to win so enjoy the music. There will be another tune tomorrow.
The other day when I picked up my grandson to take him to school he ran down the garden
path of his home to my car singing AGADO. I was a bit surprised, he is only seven and the song was released in 1984 when is own Dad, my son, was just three years old. The song has stood the test of time ! Do you know Radio One actually banned the song ? Britain's most pathetic pop music station said it was not credible ! In my TIME TRAVEL STORY I call Radio One - RADIO MINUS ONE !
Bring back Radio Carloine - That's what I say !

Destiny you sod !
Destiny you are a devious sod aren't you ! That is not a question it is a statement..
I had my day all planned for yesterday. I was going to the location where I have set my latest story, THE FIRES OF HELL, There I intended to soak up the atmosphere, take some photographs then return home to completely rewrite the opening chapter. The story is not going well so I need to look again.
But that was not your plan was it ?
A family issue took me away from the laptop all day so forcing me to abort my plan. Now I look at what has been happening - Destiny you have been playing chess with me haven't you ? You cunning devious sod !
You don't want me to write THE FIRES OF HELL do you ? Am I to rip it up completely or is it your intention I return to it later in time ?
As you know only too well Destiny, I never write a story direct into my website, I always scribble into an expensive notebook from Poundland then type things up later.
There's the laptop below, there's the expensive £1 notebook and the SECOND pen I used yesterday. Yes one ran out of ink, I wrote so much ! Sorry about the sandwiches, I was feeling hungry.
You maneuvered me didn't you Destiny ? You set me off writing something completely new.
Of all the writing I have done over the years I have never written as much in a single day as I did yesterday. I hit four thousand words.
Jeffrey Archer, bless him, would write two thousand words a day and that has been a target I have always tried to meet. Tried to meet and failed.
The great Mark Twain averaged one thousand four hundred words in a day, something I can usually match. I smashed that number yesterday. The fire brigade almost had to be called as the friction of my cheapo pen on expensive Poundland notepad almost burst into flames.
Are you happy Destiny ? Can I have a merit mark please ?
I really enjoyed writing my schoolboy autobiography THINGS WERE DIFFERENT IN MY DAY. It was fun even if nobody ever wants to read it. I do have it in mind to one day write CARRY ON TEACHER telling of my life in work. One day, it's not high up on the agenda and you are happy with that aren't you Destiny ? But Destiny for goodness sake why ever would I want to write about my two years in an aborted career working in a large department store ?
You've been plotting though haven't you Destiny ? Just as you grabbed me by the shoulders all those years ago and changed the direction of my life, taking me from what I was doing and sending me off along a totally different career path.
Look at Mr Cool aka Yours Truly in 1967. Destiny you unearthed that image from the depths of my parents home and told me to use it as my logo for publishing my scribbling. Yeh it's all over the Internet now. Some people even believe I look like that instead of the ugly old sod I am today.
For the past four months you have been setting out a plan haven't you Destiny ! You want me to go back to my late teenage years and tell the story of those two years.
OK it will be a nice ego trip for me. To please you Destiny I will do it. I will write THE STORY OF A TEENAGE ENTREPRENEUR but I insist on adding the word FAILED in brackets. To keep you happy I have just waved my Visa card at the laptop and purchased www teenageentrepreneur.co.uk. When I have finished typing up all those words from yesterday I will put the draft introduction on-line. Does that make you happy Destiny ?
Destiny you are a sod aren't you ! Hey Destiny any chance I could wake up tomorrow as that arrogant teenager ?
How about sending me back in time so I can do some research for the writing ? Does that sound a good idea to you Destiny ?

I need to give myself a kick up the backside !
Do you read my DIARY ? There is a new edition published today if you would care to TAKE A LOOK.
Here's my Thought4Today. One person who really, truly needs to take notice of that is Yours Truly. I've been feeling a bit under the weather for the past three days, feeling poorly has made me feel sorry for myself so today I am going to perform with physical dexterity which would amaze any aficionado of yoga and give myself an almighty kick up the backside. Kinky !
From my YouTube Channel the theme for today is TOP OF THE WORLD and that, my friends, is EXACTLY where I intend to be today.
When I crawl out of bed in the morning the first thing I do is come to my laptop and check the stats for the various areas of my web pages and see who has read my diary and stories. Doing that this morning I almost forgot to check my Amazon stats. Better do it I suppose ! When I looked at the graph never mind a kick up the backside a rocket fired and took me right up to the top of the world.
TWENTY - EIGHT people, no I lie - TWENTY - NINE people read my stories on Amazon yesterday.
Oh my goodness - WHAT AM I GOING TO SPEND ALL THOSE ROYALTIES ON ?

My writer's pen has so much to do today.
My best friend JAKE is not happy that I have not added an entry to his BLOG for more than two weeks. Yesterday I took a series of new photographs of him in action so will be making an entry for him today.
Yesterday my grandson, Adam, came round to help me work on the story he and I are writing together - FIREBALL XL5 so I have stacks of work to do there.

Adam found these 3D glasses so we have to think of a way to write them into the story.
Today Jake and I have to plan a photo expedition we will be taking tomorrow for my story writing.
I want to go to the disused and supposedly frequented by satanists, church in Clophill. I want to soak up the atmosphere and write it into the first chapter of my new story THE FIRES OF HELL.
I have made a start on chapter two which features another location not far away from where I live - HANSLOPE PARK. Everyone thinks that the headquarters of the British Secret Service is in London on the banks of the River Thames. That is just what the secret squirrels want you to think ! The truth is is the real place where our spy network is controlled is Hanslope Park.
I want to take some pictures but need to be really careful, I do not want to be arrested and prosecuted under The Official Secrets Act ! So any colleague of James Bond who is reading my blog TAKE NOTE - I will be outside Hanslope Park tomorrow just to soak up the atmosphere for my story.
Back to Cliophill for a moment.
There is a layby not far from the village which was the scene of the James Hanratty murder, Hanratty was one of the last people in Britain to be executed for murder. His case and the location feature in my CASE FILES OF DAVE McDERMOTT story. James Hanratty is also going to feature briefly in THE FIRES OF HELL.
Then before Jake and I head home, that is if James Bond has not arrested us at Hanslope Park, I want to take some pictures of a railway bridge. This features in CASE FILES OF DAVE McDERMOTT
Today I need to plan this photo expedition, can't leave the route
So with all that on the agenda for today I can not wimp about feeling sorry for myself can I ?
So today is going to be a fantastic day.
When it comes to this evening I will relax to another piece of music from my YouTube Channel.
Oh and by the way, that tune features in another of MY STORIES !
