The Ramblings Of A Silly Old Man CHAPTER THIRTY - TWO

TIME TO SIGN OFF

Almost forty thousand words of waffle from this particular silly old man.  If you have got this far in my book I assume you have at least found some entertainment in these forty thousand rambling words.

Book ?  At forty thousand words this does not qualify as a novel. A novel needs to be about twice the size  but this is not and never was intended to be a novel.  When writing the author writes to say what he has to say, he does not write to comply with any convention. As I bring my rambling to its end I have said all I want to say, well almost, so it is time to sign off.

Do you remember when I rambled on about Enid Blyton and her inspiration given to children from her books for those children to write their own stories ?  Or did you skip that chapter ! I do so hope that at least some of you reading my book will want to write your own thoughts. The Ramblings Of A Silly Old Woman - The Ramblings Of A Silly Young Woman - The ramblings Of A Silly Young Man or join me with The Ramblings Of A Silly Old Man Mark Two.

Go and grab a pen then start writing for yourself.

When you write please do write for yourself. The primary joy in writing is to put the words into an order to say what you want to say. That is what it is all about.  If somebody reads what you have written that is a bonus. If they actually read AND enjoy what you have written then that is a definite, special and precious double bonus.

Yes, I agree with that sentiment, it is my own sentiment of course, but that is not why I have written this book. I have written it to make money. Good causes I support and work within will receive all of the money this book generates. In literary terms this may be a good or it may be a bad composition I need this book to make money. To that end thank you for buying and reading this copy of The Ramblings Of A Silly Old Man.

During this rambling I have several times made snide remarks about politicians and have claimed, or at least hinted, I do not do politics. That is not true so before my pen falls off the end of the page let me explain my political beliefs.

I am an extreme ultra right socialist. I am a socialist because I love and care for people. Extreme ultra right because god help anyone who gets in my way of caring for people or actually harms people - I will blow them out of the water. There is no weapon I will not use to attack them.

So now for my signature to end everything.  I am not going to sign off with my author's pen name but with my real name of David. My friends tend not to call me David but Dave. You are my friend and have shown your friendship by reading these Ramblings Of A Silly Old Man for which I say a big heartfelt THANK YOU.
