Power of Music

I croaked my way through yesterday's show, damn sore throat, but I thought it went OK.

CLICK HERE and see what you think.

The show had listeners in UK, USA, France, Greece, India, Malaysia and the Czech Republic.

On the radio, on this blog, on YouTube and on our website - www.geriatricdj.com and in the community music is played to......

MAKE PEOPLE SMILE, BE HAPPY AND TO INSPIRE SUPPORT FOR GOOD CAUSES.

Yesterday's music was played to support the amazing good cause of The Food Bank. Here's the reaction of Food Bank Boss John.

Wow, David!

I’ve been playing your show in our warehouse office and everyone is really grateful for your support.
We really appreciate you.
Best wishes,
John

Radio CRMK provided a super forum for yesterday's show but the radio station has now done its bit. The Sunshine Smile Crew must now take over and do more.

The power of the music we play has potential to make a nuclear explosion nothing more than a sneeze in a thunderstorm.  The fallout from the explosion of our music would be toxic - OF COURSE IT WOULD BE - but toxic with LOVE.

The Food Bank is good at reaching out and engaging with the public to generate support for the amazing work it is doing, YES IT IS. However, many good causes are not so good - many are failing. That is NOT a criticism - NO IT IS NOT. They are so busy doing what they do their time is limited.  Better they spend time helping those they serve than telling people what they do.

Personally I have no time for causes with multi-million pound marketing budgets, they do not need our music. We need to
serve those who spend all their money on what they do and have no time to publicise their work.

Earlier in the week our music supported Scotty's Little Soldiers, a fantastic good cause brought to our attention by Freemasonry In the Community.

For our music to achieve its potential we need to take some very positive steps forward,

We need to significantly increase the membership of our Facebook Group.  Currently it stands at 157. We need it to reach 157,000. NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

How many "friends" do our members have ?  200 each ?  If everyone invited all of their friends to join the group that would be.....

157 x 200 = 231,400

ENOUGH SAID

Sunshine Smile Day is looking fantastic.  It is going to be an amazing day with many good causes taking part.

Next week I will start promoting the RADIO DISCO supporting Milton Keynes
Winter Night Shelter.

Both are going to be great events but we need to do more.

We do not need to do anything as big as SUNSHINE SMILE DAY every week but we do need to do something every week.

Yesterday I attended my blood donor appointment. Music is always played to help people relax. RELAX - that's a laugh. Commercial radio.  If we had a support base of 157,000 people could we not offer to provide the music.

Not sure if it would be appropriate but if The Food Bank wanted music at its distribution points could we not do that ?

We could do so much with our music but we need people top catch the vision and get involved.

We need a team of people who will take our music out into the community to support good causes.

We need a Roadshow Manager who can pull it all together and make it happen.

There just has to be someone out there who could take on the job and infect the community with the fallout from our music.

I was explaining how good causes who are doing a good job
are failing to reach out into the community and find support. They are too busy doing the work they do to be able to take that on as well.

WE COULD DO IT FOR THEM WITH OUR MUSIC

But to do it we need a GOOD CAUSES Co-ORDINATOR within our team.

So..........................

Do you like the music we play ?

Do you support our mission: PLAYING MUSIC TO MAKE PEOPLE SMILE, ME HAPPY AND INSPIRE SUPPORT FOR GOOD CAUSES ?

To end today's page let's have a bit of punk rock - I do like a bit of punk rock !
