Chill Out Thursday

Hi there:

A very happy Thursday ....  Don't know about you but for me this is going to be CHILL OUT THURSDAY.

At one second past midnight I will be hitting the ground running with my challenge to write ONE MILLION WORDS and publish everything within a mi nimum of TWENTY-FOUR books on Amazon.

Then OUR challenge - YOUR clannenge and MY challenge to blow ONE MILLION kisses of love to people all round the world putting smiles on their faces.

Allow me to chill out and play you a piece of music. This, I believe, is the greatest piece of pop intrumental ever recorded.

It is Albatros from Fleetwood Mac.

Enjoy....................

I was seventeen years old when that was released. There is still a seven in my age but sadly it is not preceeded by the number one.

Here's another lovely piece of music to chill out to:

I love Barbados, it really is a beautiful place. One day I will go back. It ios not the palm trees, it is not the sand and the sea that make Barbados a beautiful place. IT IS THE PEOPLE. Everywhere you go people will st op y ou and say: Welcome to our beautiful island. Why do people not stop you and say: Welcpome to beautiful Milton Keynes ? Welcome to beautiful London ?  Birmingham ?

Here's another lovely piece of music for you to chill out to. Something from Art Garfunkel.

During the one million words I will be writing during 2021 I will be wrapping some around Simon and Garfunkel of whom I am a great fan.

Something I am looking forward to chilling with today is the film GHOST. I recorded that on TV yesterday. If I stop to think about it this is probably my all-time favourite film.

Many of my stories have an element of time travel within them. If I had a time machine where would be the first place I would travel to ? Travel to and when ?

Without any hesitation I would visit Max Yasgur's dairy farm August 1969 - WOODSTOCK.

So that's today's chill out. I hope you enjoyed the music. As for tomorrow...................

Special People

I have one page left to write for our website, a page which is titled SPECIAL PEOPLE.

As I write I am not going to be short of material !  If we can achieve over the coming year what was achieved yesterday then 2021 will be a very SPECIAL year, made so by SPECIAL people.

Roy Wood and Wizzard, of whom I am a big fan, sang I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY - I don't but I wish it could be TUESDAY 29th DECEMBER 2020 every day.

It was a day when the highest covid-19 figures were announced, it was a day when we saw how our NHS is being overwhelmed. I was a day that did not look good for the New Year.

Here's a SPECIAL PICTURE - a BEAUTIFUL PICTURE. Every week Dreamsai takes one hundred boxes of foot to vulnerable people in needs. Dreamsai has been doing this since the very start of the pandemic.

Look at the picture and you will spot our SMILE card.

Yesterday I popped an envelope into the Dreamsai collectring box in Morrissons, that envelope contained one of our quiz sheets - AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS.

For next week I have written another quiz - CAPTAIN NOAH AND HIS FLOATING ZOO.

When the website is fully operational there will be a SMILE OF THE DAY.

First thing yesterday morning I received an e-mail from Jolleyes Pet Supermarket which had held a Christmas collection for our PETS IN NEED. I nipped up and collected ONE

THOUSAND
gifts of love. Dog food, cat food, pet toys, doggie coats, food bowls. So SPECIAL so much LOVE.

During yesterday I just could not get this love out of my head - no not out of my head - out of my heart.

Today I know it ios going to be the same !

I wish it could be TUESDAY 29th DECEMBER 2020 every day.

Something I am working on is a WORD SEARCH for SPECIAL PEOPLE. This will be a little
bit different to the norm, there will not be a list of words to find, people having fun will need to seek out all they can find. There will be words like: doctors, nurses, police and so on but the word YOU will be there many time over.

YOU are a special person.

Writing each page on the website there is music,  Well it wouldn't be me if there wasn't !

YES that will appear on the Special People web page.

Now here is something which is very special to me:

I have tears pricking my eyes as I listen to those beautiful words. I first heard them as a poem at Freshers Day in Oxford in September 1971.

Here they are. I will print these out and share them with SPECIAL PEOPLE. You are a SPECIAL person so let me share them with you now:

GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what

peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in

your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

LOVE !

Before I quit the radio station, in October I broadcast a show A DISCO OF LOVE thanking those who are going the extra mile in these difficult times.

From this Jolleyes Pet Supermarket donated FIVE HUNDRED tins of dog and cat food to The Food Bank.

Yesterday I received an e-mail saying over Christmas Jolleyes had held a collection for Pets In Need. As soon as the store opens at 9am this morning I will pick these gifts of love up and take them to the food bank at The Frank Moran Centre.

PETS ? - FOOD BANK ?

In these hard times dogs and cats in our homes have been doing a special job. They have been giving out vast love to their friends, friends who are suffering anxiety and depression.

The Food Bank is being innundated with requests for help. If a family is struggling to put food on their tables then they are having issues feeding their loving cats and dogs. Those five hundred tins of dog and cat foof flew off the distribution tables at The Frank Moran Centre.

Working on our website - www.kissesNsmiles.com -  I will today be writing the PETS IN NEEDS page.

How fortunate I did not work on that page yesterday !

NOPE, I am not a radio DJ any more ! BUT I am proud of all the music achieved.

Did you know that when Freddie Mercury sang RADIO GA GA  he was having a go at radio broadcasting - empty radio with no heart in the music.

Primarily he was having a dig at Radio One - RADIO ONE WE KILLED POP MUSIC !

Could you imagine Radio MINUS One inspiring love for pets in need ?  Its presenters are paid stupid money yet have no choice about what they play, that is dictated from above. The presenter does not have to think, he does not even have to push the faders up and down ! It was Radio One that made Bohemian Rhapsody but by the time of Radio Ga Ga all had changed !

Well there is no GA GA - GOO - GOO where ihe love Jolleyes is giving. No GA-GA-GOO-GOO in the music I played !

THANK YOU.........................

TOGETHER WE CAN DO THIS

The only subject I failed at school was art. I am 100% self-taught when it comes to web site building and I am using technology from 2003. So please when you check our website: www.kissesnsmiles.com be kind to me !  PLEASE.

Yesterday I added a number of pages to the site. They are still in DRAFT form complete with typo's. Have a peep.

OUR NHS CLICK HERE:

LOVE FOR FAMILIES WITH A CHILD SICK IN HOSPITAL CLICK HERE:

and THE ENID FACTOR CLICK HERE:

All of the pages have music within them. Well you would expect that from me wouldn't you !

I also printed qu iz sheets off for Milton Keynes and Luton Dunstable Hospital. The plan is to put these into the post on Monday 4th January.

Today I am going to write website pages:  SMILE - DIARY - PETS IN NEED

Watch this space.

Today is Monday, isn't it ?  So easy to lose track of the days.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, I need to write the final pages: SCHOOLS - SPECIAL PEOPLE - QUIZ - CARE HOMES then phew all done.

Take a day off WEDNESDAY. Thursday is New Year Eve so time to get ready to launch the writing at midnight !

After several weeks reaching out to ask people what support there could be I am now structuring the project with great care.

I WILL write an absolute minimum of one million words across 2021 and publish these words in a minimum of twenty-four books on e-bay. That is the minimum, my personal target is one and a half ,million words and thirty books.

If The Guinness Book of Records is interested then all well and good. If not then oh dear, what a shame, never mind. We won't even think about that until 1st January

2022.

When you look at the website pages you will see that the record attempt scrolls across the top and bottom of the pages. ALSO you will see a challenge to blow one million kisses and generate one million smiles. I HAVE BEEN VERY

CAREFUL TO STRUCTURE THIS SO I CAN DO IT ON MY  OWN AND FUND IT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET IF I HAVE TO.

However, it will work a zillion times better if one million people get involved.

Worldwide the pandemic has taken the lives of 1.76 MILLION. 71,000 have died in Britain alone. These numbers are insignificant compared to those suffering from mental health issues, I guess we are all suffering in one way or another. I know that In am !

The bigger challenge, far bigger than my hitting the keys of my laptop, is for YOU to help make people SMILE.

Are you up for this ?

PLEASE ?

I have tried to engage the media !  WASTE OF TIME !

Milton keynes does not really have media.

Milton Keynes Citizen is OK but a tiny shaddow of what it used to be. Does anyone read it ?

If you put together all the bits and pieces of radio in Milton Keynes they do not ammount to one half decent programme ! RADIO BORING.

BBC ????? Local Radio is in Dunstable - 30 minutes dribe away. News ? based in Norwich there is LOOK EAST. Loos East from Norwich and you will observe The North Sea. The last place you will find in Milton Keynes.

SOCIAL MEDIA is the way we need to blow our kisses and plant smiles. Will you be a news reporter ?

Selling the writing on my BOOKSHELF is not meant to be an ego trip for me but to provide additional funding for our smiles. I have just spent £8 on Amazon to but 50 sheets of card to print SMILE CARDS on.

I am planning to set the download price for all e-books at 99p. From that royalties will be 70p. Twelve downloads would pay for that card. Four smile cards fit ion a single sheet so I can print 200.

Ofcourse I hope you will buy the odd download but more important will you whack out our smiles on Social Media ? I am, perhaps, of the wrong generation but YOU are not so will you lease rattle your silly smart phone and make our smiles go viral ?

This is more from my generation:

Will you help make 2021 a year so full of love it is impossible to meaure the quantity ?

Mega Moment

I speak all the time about my 4am moments.  Fourv in the morning as I start to wake up and into my head come ideas and inspiration. WEell today - SUNDAY 27th DECEMBER 2020 has been a MEGA BIG STUPENDOUS MOMENT. But more of that in a moment.

Here is a photograph from DREAMSAI showing our SMILE card in a hamper box delivered yesterday. Ebery week Dreamsai takes round 100 boxes to those in need. This week our SMILE card joined the love.

I have finished writing a fun quiz AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS which will be added in the New Year. I just have to print off copies and then we are in business.

The task then is to come up with something each week.

Onwards and upweards.

OK 4am.......

I have spent Christmas working on a website for our writing project and how the scribble I

intends to produce throughout 2021 wil generate kisses and smiles for a wide and far reaching number of sprecial, precious people. I have purchase the domain name:

www.kissesnsmiles.com

I have completed the home page and almost finished the page listing my ideas for story plots:

Two of the books listed on the website as ideas are THE DEVIL USES FACEBOOK and THESECRET DIARY OF AN OLD MAN AGED THIRTEEN AND THREE QUARTERS. Actually these are was down my inspiration list, well they were u ntil 4am today !

The Devis Uses Social Media is not a satanic story but a spy tale. Basically some bad people use social media to infiltrate the minds of good people and turn them to do bad things. A bit like real life.

Before 4am this morning I thought I probably would not actually work on the project.

ALL CHANGE.

I have come up with the central character: THE WITCH OF THE WIRELESS.

Watch this space.

Do you remember Sue Townshend's book The Secret Diary Of Adrian Mole Aged Thirteen And Three Quarters ?  I came up with an idea which I put on the website but never took it seriously.

ALL CHANGE.

This is a story I can not wait to get cracking on.

The old man will be me, well a take off on me. The old man writes to Farher Christmas asking if he could have a time machine so he could be young again.

Christmas Day and the oldman becomes the little boy Santa Claus forgot. However, his wife gives him a pillow for Christmas. A beautiful pillow with a picture of a sunset on it. When the old man goes to sleep he dreams he is young again. Each night he has a teenage adventure.

Thirteen and three-quarters ?

For me that would have been in the summer of 1964. I guess I am going to have to do some research to find out what was happening bavck then.

Hang on a moment while I check out the number one hit for 1st August 1964.

And it was...................

1964 - I used to wear polo neck shirts back then. I tried to buy one on Amazon earlier in the year but the world's retail giant did not know what I was talking about. However, Maureen
found a polo neck jumper which she gave me for Christmas. I am wearing it now as I write. I wonder if this will be my own special time machine !

Today I will work on the NHS page of the website:

www.kissesnsmiles.com

I have already dug up some Doctor - Doctor jokes to add to its support generating area on the website.

Doctor, doctor, will I be able to play the violin after the operation ?

Yes, of course

Great !  I never could before !

and..............

Doctor, doctor I feel like a carrot.

Well don't get yourself in a stew about it !

On the website everyday there is SMILE OF THE DAY. Every day, every visitor to the website is challenged to make someone smile. Every smile generated will inspire me to write more.

There are lots of pages within the website seeking to generate simles for different groups of people.

One of the first books to be published within the challenge is IN SEARCH OF THE LEONS - a republication of our 1991 book.

Sir John Leon wrote the original introduction and that opens the new republication.

Sir John is better known s the actor John Standing. Earlier in the week I wastched on TV THE EAGLE HAS LANDED where he was playing opposite Michael Cain. Yesterday I watched TINKER TAILOR SOLDER SPY where our Chief leonite was playing opposite Alec Guinness.

Schools...................

We are all having a hard time thrying to get through this pandemic but it is for the teenagers
that my heart bleeds. I am going to enter a tinme machine and go back to 1964. Fast forward to when today's teenagers are seventy, would they want to come back to 2020 ?

I have made regular visits to Oakgrove School over the year and will be going there as soon as term starts. When you walk into the reception area you can see our SMILE card on display. I will now be taking the school one of my quizzes - a quiz for teachers. I am working on a project ASK YOUR GRANDDAD ibspiring teenagers to write to their grandparents - Granddad and Granny - asking them what life was like when they were teenagers.

Let's have something from the teenagers at Oakgrove School shall we ?

Take it away guys and girls:

What do you think to that Granddad ?

How many days of 2020 left ?

FIVE !

I must get trhe website finished asap so I can at least have one chill out day before I hit the writing project to write a minimum of one million words and publish a minimum of twenty-four books so breaking Barbra Cartland's world record.

A world record which I want through the website:

To blow kisses of love to as many people as possible and for those kisses to make people SMILE:
