Calling for councillor resignations

I need to double check the figures before e-mailing the following demanding the resignations of certain members of West Bletchley Council.

For now this is FYI but I would be interested to know if you agree with my sentiments or not.

The law requires a minimum school attendance of 90% per term. Without reasonable excuse for attendance below 90% parents can be fined.

While gathering information regarding members of West Bletchley Council in relation to its disrespecting community police and placing residents at risk  I and fellow residents have been looking at the alarming attendance record of council members. Data as placed within the public domain on the council’s website.

Your attendance falls significantly below that required by a child attending school. You are part of a list of seventeen out of twenty-seven whose attendance is deplorably unacceptable.

Kit PowerAbbey’s Ward - 20%

Ken Rowe – Scots Ward – 33% !

Sheri Defalni – Fairways Ward – 42%

Naomi Sinclair – Rivers Ward – 42%

Andy Coaton – Saints Ward – 50%

Nabeel Nazir – Church Green Ward – 60%

Sue Long – Castles Ward - 62%

Matthew Burn – Castles Ward-  63%

Gladstone McKenzie – Castles Ward 63%

Wagas Ahmed – Church Green Ward – 67%

James Butson – Racecourses Ward – 67%

Paul Moore – Poets Ward – 75%

Ray Brady – Rivers Ward – 76%

Geraldine Halder – Abbey’s Ward - 77%

Ian Layded – Fairways Ward – 78%

Felicity Cockbain – Scots Ward – 79%

Barbra Moore – Scots Ward – 79%

Of the remaining ten West Bletchley Council members only four have attendance records which match the legal requirement for a child attending school.

Zarak Dorsett-Morgan Abbeys Ward 100%

Christian Drugo Abbeys Ward 100%

Jim Kearon – Church Green Ward – 90%

Paul Harvey – Counties Ward – 85%

Nigel Long – Counties Ward – 86%

Derek Hircock – Fairways Ward – 83%

Michael Donald – Poets Ward – 92%

Elaine Wales – Racecourses Ward – 81%

Veronica Belcher – Rivers Ward – 88%

Ernie Thomas – Saints Ward – 89%

Prior to my resignation in 2021 from West Bletchley Council I was the ONLY member who put in 100% attendance. To remind you I resigned when the Milton Keynes labour party hijacked my motion of love for key workers in the pandemic in order to play left-wing political games. To my way of thinking resignation was the only  honourable course of action open to me, failure to have resigned would have tarnished me with the disrespect the council proffered to key workers.

Now we have a situation where West Bletchley Council has disrespected our community police and in so doing has without question placed residents at risk.

How can it  possibly be respectful to residents where the majority of council l members thing sub-standard attendance is an acceptable norm ?

How can it possibly be respectful to  residents to have FIVE members with attendance below 50% and one with an attendance of 20%.

Kit PowerAbbey’s Ward - 20%

Ken Rowe – Scots Ward – 33% !

Sheri Defalni – Fairways Ward – 42%

Naomi Sinclair – Rivers Ward – 42%

Andy Coaton – Saints Ward – 50%

Having shared these attendance records with a number of fellow residents I would call upon you and all West Bletchley Councillors who have a recorded attendance rate below that of the legal requirement for a child in school to IMMEDIATELY RESIGN from office. In so doing you can claim to be doing the honourable thing and making way for someone who can better serve our community. Remaining in office can, I would suggest, without any question at all be dishonourable.

I present this information as a West Bletchley resident since September 1971. I have placed this information into the public domain by way of social media and will be inviting the traditional/formal media to also share the statistics. Any response from those named above will be placed in the public domain.
